Well it’s summer and it’s really warm. The great thing about holidays is the time taken away from the usual and the inspiration that gathers regardless. So time to see some pics of me and my garden. I find my garden an efffective place to sketch, especially blind contour. To the non-artist this is a method of drawing that allows the artist to fixate on the object while letting the pencil move about the page as if the tip is touching every edge and contour of the object. I love the quirkiness of the results.

Soccer dude

This is an example of a fellow spectator at a soccer match. Obviously this is not a detailed drawing but the capturing of the stance and the cool attitude I think are there. And that’s what I like to aim for.

PumpkinsPumpkins are good to draw because of their smooth line and great shape.

My beautiful carnations amongst my cherry tomatoes. My garden mimics my life. There is no plan, no structure and everything grows where it wants to. Sometimes it works!!!

Its great to have feedback so leave a comment and I'll reply!
